The city of Parga

Parga had developed itself into a very good organised  tourist destination. Lodging and tourist enterprises are improving continuously aiming at a better service to visitors. The narrow cobbled back streets, the small houses with lots of flowers around and the traditional tavernas give their own colour to the idyllic landscape of Parga.

Each summer Parga is a real pole of attraction for thousands of tourists, not only because of the natural beauty of the region, but also for the beautiful beaches. They enjoy swimming in the calm and warm sea as well as water sports and games. Most of the beaches are well organised and offer facilities for skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing, parasailing and diving. Interesting diving grounds are the surroundings of Pargai s castle and the islet of Agios Nikolaos.

The beaches around Parga are the best of the Ionian Sea. The most famous and busiest beaches are Valtos, Krioneri, Piso Krioneri, Lychnos, Sarakiniko and Agios Giannakis.
