Location
The
picturesque village of Parga is located in the western part of Greece at
the Ionian Sea. Built amphitheatrically, it has beautiful and colourful
houses in small narrow streets that lead to the beautiful harbour. From
the remains of the Venetian fortress at the end of the village you can
enjoy a magnificent view over Parga, Valtos beach and the Ionian Sea.
Parga offers you a big variety of beaches. You may go to the larger
ones, Lychnos and Valtos, where sunbeds and umbrellas are available and
where you will find taverns and cafeterias. If you prefer smaller and
more quiet beaches: there are many along the coast near Parga.
For many years Parga is a very popular destination for Greek tourists,
who mainly visit Parga in August. In more recent years Parga was
discovered by tourists from Northern Europe, who come to enjoy the charm
of this old village, as well as the warmth and hospitality of its
inhabitants and to undergo the Greek way of life
