Worthwhile visiting

Parga has got a lot of objects and monuments that are more than worthwhile to visit. First of all the castle at the harbour that was built in the 14th century with help of the Northmann. After repeated destructions it took its final form from the Venetians. Further northwards Ali Paha is castle dominates on a mountain top, from where the view is breathtaking. Impressive also is the small islet of the Virgin Mary, opposite to the harbour of Parga, with its small church and picturesque belfry, as well as the small castle of French manufacture, that dominates the tallest point of the islet. Parga is also a perfect base for excursions in the region.
